Congrats, Grad! The Best Flowers to Give for Graduation

Congrats, Grad! The Best Flowers to Give for Graduation

Celebrating a graduation, whether from high school, college, or grad school is a huge achievement worthy of fanfare. Not only has the graduate just completed years of education, but they’re about to head off on a new adventure and perhaps even start their first full-time job. With bright colors and timeless beauty, what could be a better gift to mark the occasion than a bouquet of farm-fresh flowers? We’ve curated some gorgeous arrangements of graduation flowers that will let your loved one know how proud you are of their achievements.

Here are some of our favorite flowers to send or give as a graduation gift.

1. Timeless Roses

An armful of roses – whether classic, garden, or spray, will never go out of style as a graduation gift. Roses have that magical quality that makes them feel extra special and ours are the gold standard with fuller blooms and stronger stems than the average rose. This isn’t the time for red roses, though – instead, choose ones that are a little outside the box, like our Moondance lavender spray roses or our light green Freshly Squeezed garden roses. If the grad is a close relative, you can pair a rose bouquet with another gift or a handwritten card.

2. Hopeful Lilies

Lilies represent rebirth or hope, making them a fitting flower to give on graduation day as your grad looks to the future. There are numerous types of lilies perfect for gifting, from classic white to bright pink Stargazers. To add more excitement, we recommend a mixed bouquet with lilies and roses, like Nectar and Smitten. Whichever lilies you choose, they all smell heavenly!

3. Flowers in their School Colors

Want to add a little extra thought to make your grad’s gift personalized? Pick out a bouquet in their school colors. For example, if their school colors include yellow or gold, they’ll love The Honor, Honeycomb, or Golden Spirit. Not only will these bouquets match their diploma, but this vibrant color is a natural mood booster.

4. A Celebratory Mixed Bouquet

Let them know how proud you are that they’re moving on to bigger and better things with a bouquet that includes all their favorite flowers. Our Graduation Bouquets collection includes a variety of mixed bouquets that are cheerful and unique—just like your grad. Surprise them with Sunny Side, Sunday Morning, or Heirloom, which all feature stunning seasonal varieties in full bloom.

5. A Flower Subscription Service

If your grad is heading off to college or a new city, setting up a flower subscription is a sweet way to continue to show your support from afar. It’s the grown-up version of a care package, letting your grad know that you are always thinking of them. Encourage them to chase their dreams with flowers that will follow them wherever they go and brighten up their day when they least expect it.

Harvested to order, our graduation bouquets will arrive at the peak of their beauty just in time for the big day. They’re not only much larger, brighter, and longer lasting than store-bought varieties, but they're grown sustainably on our eco-farm in Ecuador. We want to keep the future bright for all of our grads, and that means doing our small part to protect this place we call home. Thanks for supporting us -- we're proud to be a part of your graduation day!
